Hot! Personal: Romero Brooks Celebratory Breakfast

A few months ago, almost to the day, Romero Brooks relaunched with a new and improved site. Considering I’m new at this whole website thing, I decided the best thing was to invite my boy E and his lovely lady J as well as BM, English and Granny Tag along to celebrate. We headed over to an excellent brunch spot downtown called Bottega Louie. I initially went on a brunch date with my better half last year and was taken aback by how pretentious it looked. However, folks from all walks of life were enjoying themselves, and I must say that the service and prices were great considering the locale and appearance of the bakery/restaurant. Definitely one of our favorite brunch spots. Below are some of the table’s favorite dishes.

Smoked Salmon Benedict with potato pancakes

Breakfast Flatbread

I ordered the flatbread and immediately took off the greens. For less than 10 bucks I got something larger than a personal pizza with prosciutto, tomato sauce, and a fried egg in the middle. So. Damn. Good.

I wouldn’t consider myself a foodie. Because I could care less what a dish looks like as long as it’s cheap and tastes good. English feels the same way but he’s gone to some pretty nice spots as well, and he’s an excellent cook. Need food ideas? Check out his site at Where The Fork Am I. He also took the pictures for the breakfast, and there’s more on the site.
