Entertainment: RPG Game “Outbreak Undead” Hits The Streets
Time for some role playing. And not the type where your lady plays the French maid or your guy plays a fireman. If you liked playing Dungeons and Dragons back in the day, sack up and raise the ante. I recently came across the new role playing game Outbreak Undead and the premise is a doozy.
“Outbreak: Undead” is a Zombie Survival Simulation RPG that is not only fun, but an essential step in surviving the Undead. We at Hunters Books have provided the most dramatic, effective, and above all realistic means in which to (safely) simulate the events of a zombie uprising and try your chances at survival!
Included in Outbreak: Undead, players will find:

So it’s a bit like choose your own adventure mixed tailored to your own personality. Using the SPEW system, the program measures your Strength, Perception, Empathy, and Will. Breaking these characteristics down to numerical values, you plug into Outbreak Undead and get to surviving. Unfortunately, I missed the launch party out in the LA area but there’s pictures over at the Facebook page. The hardcover edition of the game is a whopping 465 pages, and also a whopping $49.99. A drop in the bucket for the hardcore zombie lovers and rpg fans, but a bit too rich for my blood. If you’re like me, there’s also a pdf version for only $19.99. Way cheaper, and you’ll save some money while spending Valentine’s Day alone.
