BYAAHHH!!! The Giant Revel 0 Is Finally In My Possession

I put the order in on Monday, and yesterday after work i skedaddled with my lady in tow over to Izzys Cycles. The owner Bobby is super cool and offers lifetime tune ups on all bikes you order from him. Plus the story on his dog and the shop’s namesake is a great one. I have a soft spot for dogs and the offer was too good to pass up so I drove out to the northern area of LA county to buy it from Bobby.

I’m a sucker for aesthetics, and after my first short ride on the Revel 0 with the murdered out matte black paint job, I knew I had a keeper. No returns from me. At the most I might swap out the existing tires for some road tires, but that’s if I don’t feel like I can get enough streets on the pavement. We’ll know soon enough. Because I don’t want to turn into a fatass, and partially because I want to see how much I can push myself, I’m planning a 25 mile bike ride through the city to a separate bug out location. 10 miles of that is slightly uphill. Pray for me people.
