Wanted: The Nike Dream Team Destroyer Jacket

Whoever is running the Nike Sportswear department keeps knocking them out of the park. Paying homage to the best Olympics Basketball team ever created, The Nike Dream Team Destroyer Jacket is super duper dope. The line of Destroyer jackets sold very well this past year for the shoe company, and it seems only right that the likes of the 92 squad would be next on the list seeing as they obliterated their foreign counterparts. A wool chest with leather sleeves with sewn in patches of the numbers of the starting five are just killer. Not to mention the little Dream Team pin on the letter U on the left chest, and some patches shouting out the 2012 London Games with XX on the back, signifying the 20 year anniversary of complete domination in Men’s Basketball. And for the basketball nerds out there, there’s a list of the scores of every Dream Team Olympic game in chronological order. Take that, world.
Nike cut this promo featuring 1992 standouts David Robinson, Charles Barkley and Scottie Pippen, as well as a few words from current day stars Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant. For such a marketable jacket, Nike sought out rapper Stalley from MMG to narrate. Odd move considering he’s a relative unknown but I’m not hating. Plus he’s got one crazy ass beard. No word on price or release date yet but Nike knows their audience so you can bet the jacket will be upwards of $700. So after a flight to Brazil and selling a kidney on the black market, I’ll be able to afford one for myself and one for the lady. Taking donations!
