The New Superbowl Teaser For World War Z Is Out
Not much behind this 30 second spot that’s going to air during the Superbowl other than some rehashed shots of the theatrical trailer for World War Z. Pitt’s character takes a bit of a backseat though, as viewers are treated to the broader scope of the zombie apocalypse, all without actually mentioning the word “zombie.” Pitt playing as Gerry Lane asks a friend/official (presumably Dexter from the original script) what the hell is going on, and his buddy only replies with, “we don’t know.”
Thankfully it seems like Pitt is creating a world in the film where no one even knows what a zombie is. Or the dude he talked to was just an idiot. Who knows. One thing I do know is 30 seconds is not enough. Cmon guy. At least leak us some more production photos! With any luck the flick will retain some of it’s social commentary instead of having a shit ton of chaos and shooting. That still remains to be seen.
